I am so thrilled to be taking part for the first time in the Altenew Blog Hop for the November product release!

I felt so special to get early access to these amazing products and make some super secret cards. Believe me, it was soooo hard to keep a secret this long!

Eucalyptus Jar Stamp Set

For this release I chose a really cool set of stamps called the Eucalyptus Jar which includes so many amazing phrases and a beautiful image of a jar with - you guessed it a Eucalyptus inside. I was also sent a roll of wide Blue Watercolor Washi tape. I just knew this stamp set would be perfect to try my most recent obsession, No Line Watercolor and it was awesome! Did I try it multiple times? ABSOLUTELY but the best part was it was so enjoyable I didn't mind making just one more! I also used the set of 36 Altenew Basic Watercolor pans (but I only needed two colors) to color the image.

I have pre-ordered them and you can get the stamp set HERE or the stamp AND die set HERE and I'll ship it as soon as it comes in! Enjoy the pictures of the cards I made (THREE CARDS!) and please bookmark this page for later (Or better yet, join the A-List to find out when they have arrived).

This shop, Piece Craft Love is pretty new, it was really only "born" in August and I definitely have A LOT of plans for this shop. I'm so happy you're here! I hope you'll take a look around and check out all the amazing Altenew stamps, dies, inks and watercolors that I have to offer (among others).

Eucalyptus Jar 1

For this card I stamped with black ink and painted with Altenew Watercolors, I used the Wide Blue Washi tape (available for pre-order) in the background and stamped the sentiment on a piece of deli paper and adhered it with gloss gel medium (my go to adhesive). I also added a little gloss gel medium to the jar for an added effect of a glass jar. The image of the jar is bumped up a little with fun foam on double sided Scor-Pal tape (my favorite hack so I don't have to keep track of foam tape and regular double stick tape.)

Each set of Altenew Stamps comes with inspiration cards inside the package and one of the cards had straight orange stripes across the back and the jar in the foreground. I used that as a jumping off point but then I had to add the Anna spin, which was to tear the watercolor washi to create some "organic" stripes in the background and the extra texture from the Deli Paper.

This card was inspired from the first one, I wanted to try one with just this bold statement stamp to potentially make a slightly more masculine card. You may notice there is a little hand written touch on this image, that is partly due to my rookie stamping skills and also because there was a little typo in the pre-release stamp I received BUT it has been corrected for production. I continued the torn washi effect on the inside of the card as well and you can see I used deli paper like I did with the first card.

Eucalyptus Jar 2
Here is where I really tested my new No Line Watercolor skills and I love the result. (Thank you K Warner for your amazing YouTube videos!) After some additional research I found out that eucalyptus are in fact, more of a blue green color than straight up green, so I used one of the lighter colors from the Altenew Watercolor set, again, the wide washi tape and this time I stamped one of the other sentiments on a piece of cardstock I had made with watercolor earlier that week. A circle punch made it super easy to pop this little statement on there. I love the extra watercolor effect of the washi and how it perfectly compliments the rest of the card.
I really wanted to highlight this stamp set with very minimal supplies to show that you don't need a lot of fancy materials to make some really nice cards.
