When I saw the Neat & Tangled Beach day stamp set with coordinating metal craft dies, I KNEW it would be a great opportunity to play with my Gemini Jr ELECTRIC die cutting and embossing machine! (I'm all about the perfect opportunity to play with a new product!)
Have I ever once stamped an image and then cut it out? NOPE Have I watched a few (ahem - 20) videos about how to do it? YEP!
It was pretty easy, I just highly recommend that you stamp, color THEN cut the images. It's just easier to color an image before it is cut out.
I used some Tombow dual brush pens to color in the images.
I also used some Bazzill cardstock in Robin's Egg and Kraft for the background (that Kraft makes the perfect sand, doesn't it?) I grabbed the word "hello" from the Altenew Golden Feather set and popped everything up off the back of the card with some craft foam and 1/2" Scor-Pal tape to stick it all down. I love that stuff!
While I was stamping the images (using the Hero Arts Hue ink in India Ink Black) I wanted to test out different papers so I tried it out on Ranger Watercolor, Lawn Fawndamentals - Vanilla Malt AND even some Avery Sticker shipping labels I just happened to have laying around. Turns out the sticker paper worked perfecting in the Gemini Jr as well so I ended up with some cute stickers to include inside the card! It made me smile as I packaged up this card with some fabric for a friend to think that her daughter might enjoy playing with those stickers that I MADE!
